Nightmare to use. Instructions says if it hasn't dried within 5 minutes to remove excess product but it is so sticky when you try to remove excess it pulls on your scars. The stickyness of the product sticks to clothing (bra in my case) and then you can feel pulling on your scars when you move because the bra is stuck to the product. Nightmare! honestly dont waste your money. I have found a really good moisuriser applied 3 times a day with massage if very very affective for scars.

Hi Sorry to hear you didn't get on well the kelo-cote gel. I am surprised as it's very popular and the NHS use it. If your scar is sticky after applying Kelo-Cote, you probably have applied too much. Silicone gels are clinically proven to help improve the appearance of scars. Kind regards Andrea Skin Care Nurse

RE Kelo-Cote Silicone Scar Gel 60g Good value for money when comparing the £/100g cost. Instructions a bit unclear as says best to apply twice and best to be the skin for 24 hours (meant I applied within a 30 mins period) but not sure if this is correct. Packaging was enormous for the small tube. Too early to confirm effects (says use for at least 60 to 90 days). But recommended by NHS clinician and more confident that this product is legitimate, so hopefully will be effective in the long term.

Lots in the tube and helps to make the area less red

I bought the smaller 15g first to try it and found the product improved the redness of my scar. I have now purchased the 60g which is better value as I continue to use it.

Bought this for my mum who had bad scarring on both her knees from a bicycle accident. The scars were three months old when she started, raised, hard and very dark in colour/appearance (she is of Asian background). I was totally astonished to see them smooth, faded and a lot smaller in appearance three months later so purchasing more for her as she wants to continue the treatment. Good value for money and compared to silicone gel sheets, it’s a gel that dries up and doesn’t show which is a major plus point.

This product does have scientific backing and it was recommended by my surgeon. I have been using it for about a month and there has been a noticeable de-pinking of my scars.
