Helps on a day-by-basis to deal with symptoms, but requires ongoing rather periodic use.

I found Sebclair cream did not help to bring my outbreak under control -- I had to use a highly potent topical corticosteroid cream to do that -- but it was a very, very severe outbreak. However, once the outbreak subsided I found that Sebclair is most efficient at maintaining a clear state and seems, so far, to be preventing the repeat flare up that usually happens to me about a week to ten days after stopping the corticosteroid treatment. That is a very good result because constant use of topical steroids should avoided due to the thinning effect that they have on skin. I have also found that cleansing the skin thoroughly two or three times a day -- I use hot weak brine (one teaspoonful of salt to half a pint of hot water) and let it dry on for ten minutes before rinsing -- also helps as it prevents the build up of oils and dead cells on the skin surface that only encourages the Malassezia yeasts to grow (these yeasts are one of the primary causes of seborrheic dermatitis). I have found that re-applying the Sebclair as soon after cleansing the skin as I can obtains the best results and so far the next flare up is three weeks overdue!

Extremely pleased! Didn't think this would work for me but a week later and I'm a different person!had read previous reviews and thought I would be the one it didn't work for but thank god I was wrong. My condition isn't severe but enough to worry me everyday. Now , fingers crossed it will stay away. Money well spent.
