“For a tenner I think this is a great investment into knife maintenance. Dual sides , so rough and fine grain leather, paddle style so you can hold it like a honing rod or lay it flat.
After around 10 strokes alternating sides , will restore the razor blade level sharpness to your knife.
Almost mandatory for any owner of fine blades.
Small size also makes this very portable and suitable for home kitchen use.
Loading with a stropping compound likely will enhance the finishing of your sharpening process, however not essential.
