“Took £250 deposit and a few days later I was advised I failed the credit check. Wouldn't refund the full deposit. Credit checks should be carried out there and then and deposits only taken if successful.

“Wholly unsatisfactory experience, Office shut on a Sunday, couldn't renew online, found them online and got a quote slightly cheaper than renewal, made a mistake on NCB which got picked up when I phoned them, got charged £56 more because of that, but when I did an online search with the correct NCB, the difference was £10. Had I cancelled the policy, I would have got 40% of my premium back, despite the policy only being live for 36 hours. Rep on phone was not interested and couldn't get off the phone quick enough.”
“I cancelled my insurance after a week yet they charged me for the whole year. When I queried it they were rather belligerent not to mention having to ring 4 Times in a queue for 15 mins a time only to be cut off.”
