“Constantly receiving cancellation on direct debit letters when it hadn't been. Payment for insurance not taken for 3 months now. Admiral are adamant that there are no issues so I can only presume this is normal. Company charged £50 to change address and also want to charge £50 cancellation charges. This isn't make overly obvious when buying a policy. My personal opinion is to be very cautious when using this company.”
“The service was very good during the year I was with them. However, the renewal price they offered was more than double their competitors, and strangely they were unable to explain why this was: this was the only aspect of the service I was unhappy about.”
“Customer service reps are curt and gave missleading and inaccurate information/advice, they seem to have very poor internal communications and information was not passed from one department to another accurately. Information received from sister company Diamond not correctly interpreted resulting in me feeling I wanted to cancel the policy due to the manner in which I was dealt with following their own internal confusion - unfortunatly the fact that I am on a tight budget trying to keep the vehicle in question and Admiral being the most competitive quote made it necessary for me to stay with them, though I doubt I will renew with them next year despite receiving a verbal apology from Admiral rep.
Also having run a web site comparison while already having an Admiral policy meant that Admiral then felt it necessary to compare the online information like for like with that stored on their system making the comparisson more time consuming to purchase than simply calling Admiral to renew - though obviously the quote was cheaper after comparison.”
