Scratch Shield Bucket Filter (available in Black, Red & Blue)

Scratch Shield is the new car wash bucket grit filter system that helps prevent fine scratches and swirls being created as you wash your car. Its unique patent pending design allows it to fit most styles and sizes of bucket available in the UK.

The ScratchShield sits at the bottom of your bucket, creating a protective barrier between the dirt, grit and debris which settles on the bottom and prevents transfer back onto your wash mitt. The ScratchShield can fit most sizes of buckets due to its unique removable legs which can be adjusted in or out to fit right to the edge of the inside of your bucket.

The Scratch Shield fits a wide variety of buckets as long as the diameter of the bucket is 238mm or more 65mm from the base.

“Every detailer should have at least one, if not two! Great bit of kit, I'm liking the previous review that advised rubbing the mitt over the guard to dislodge the grit. Obvious really but sometime it help to be told, thanks Ben ;-)”

“I clean and look after basically my whole families cars, so I have bought products that can bring out the best results for all cars. I invested in the shield out of curiosity, I didn't want all my work to be undone by not looking after my washing equipment. I am indifferent to this product as I have only used it twice so far and of course that's not going to give me future results and see if it truly prevents scratches and swirls. If you are an enthusiast and buy products to polish wax and protect your car religiously then I'm not sure if this product would really make any difference except save you from dunking you're hand into the bottom of the bucket and scooping up all the grit and dirt you have just taken off. Having said that it takes the dirt off your wash mitt, keeps it at the bottom of your bucket and what you see at the end of cleaning is astonishing and you can't believe that before you used the shield that the grit at the bottom of your bucket could have been put back onto the surface of your car so clearly it must work so I'm definitely going to continue using the shield and see if it really does the trick. It was easy to put it in you're bucket you just click the legs in place, its light sturdy and useful and fits most buckets so its value for money.”

“Easy to assemble and fits into bucket with no problems, now don't have to worry about picking up grit etc when dipping mitt into bucket. Overall a worthy investment!”

“easy to assemble and use- really stops the grit getting back on to your cleaning cloths, especially is you use the 2 bucket method. only downside I've found is that in my opinion the guard sits too high in the bucket, so you waste a lot of water as a result, but that's a small price to pay I guess if it stops your car getting scratched. on the plus side if you buy these they're much cheaper than the meguirs equivelent and look just the same”

“A grit filter product that can be adjusted. No longer need to buy a new specific bucket! Designed and made in the UK which is great news. Almost infinite adjustment makes it so easy to fit”

“Easy to assemble tooke me 30 seconds to have it together and into my bucket, instructions are clear and well layed out. Products well built and looks tough and durable. After washing the car i emptied out the grit that had accumulated in the bottom of my rinse bucket into a seive, and hand on heart, i nearly had a cardiac! The amount of Junk that was in that bucket, under this guard, beggers belief, the mitt hides the grit but rub it over the guard and it all comes out, and sinks, and STAYS THERE If you havnt got one of these, what have you been doing?”
