Scratch Shield Bucket Filter (available in Black, Red & Blue)

Scratch Shield is the new car wash bucket grit filter system that helps prevent fine scratches and swirls being created as you wash your car. Its unique patent pending design allows it to fit most styles and sizes of bucket available in the UK.

The ScratchShield sits at the bottom of your bucket, creating a protective barrier between the dirt, grit and debris which settles on the bottom and prevents transfer back onto your wash mitt. The ScratchShield can fit most sizes of buckets due to its unique removable legs which can be adjusted in or out to fit right to the edge of the inside of your bucket.

The Scratch Shield fits a wide variety of buckets as long as the diameter of the bucket is 238mm or more 65mm from the base.

“It was easy to put together and not too flimsy as to break. Does what it is supposed to do keeping the sponge or cloth away from the bottom of the bucket and any grit that has settled during the wash.”

“Good price and does the job, Fits in all bucket I have used it with (cheap and expensive buckets). Only complaint is the fins do come loose for guard (nothing a little superglue etc. wouldn’t fix)”

“Wish i brought two one for each bucket with the two wash system. By the way dont buy a bucket which is stupidly overpriced, you can use this product with any bucket its adjustable. I use it in a £1 bucket from b&Q.”

“I can't comment on how soft the product is or how long it lasts in the weather. What i will say though is that it does whats needed and it a great price.”

“I bought one of these on the back of the other reviews. The idea is good, but in practice not so good. I've used mine 2 or 3 times so far and the same happened each time. Once assembled and placed in the bucket, the warm water appears to soften the plastic, making the fins fall off all the time, making the grid float up thus rendering it useless. As a work around, I've resorted to just holding the grid at an angle in the bucket with one hand whilst I rub the wash mitt against it to clean it between uses. That seems to do the job ok, but does defeat the object of it's proper operation. I suppose that's where the non universal ones hold their own, as they're made to go with a matching bucket. Oh well...”

“It's ok.... Not sure actually how effective this is tbh as it would be quite hard to measure. One thing though, it does NOT fit all size buckets so beware of that. I had 2 buckets at home which it did not fit into so I had to buy new ones. They say it's adjustable, but it's not.”
