Hi John Thank you for your order & for leaving a review. I'm sorry to hear that you're not happy with the heelpad on your drivers mat. The heelpad is a double thickness area of the mat where a heelpad made of the same carpet is sewn on. This provides extra support & thickness in the area of your heel. We also offer a PVC heelpad which is a plastic heelpad attached directly to the mat.
