Never disappointed with these briquettes, good burn time and plenty of heat output.

We have ordered these last year as well as this year. They are efficient and are easy to store. As well as giving a clean , long burn . Definitely be ordering these again. Delivery was great too.

I must stress that my comments in no way reflect the products or the professional and courteous service that I have always received from Calido over the years. My review is solely to express the unsatisfactory standard of service that I received from the haulage contractor. The pallet was delivered on a vehicle fitted with a tail-lift, but with a broken pallet truck, so there was no way that the goods could be delivered in the correct and expected manner. Apart from the driver failing to telephone prior to delivery, the vehicle could not park near to the delivery point, instead it was approx 20 yards away on the opposite side of the road facing uphill with the pallet at the front off-side of the vehicle. This meant that the 76 year old customer had to transport the 96 X 10 kgs packs 10 at a time on a tiny sack cart 20 yards down the footpath, across the road, into the driveway and up into the garage, then stack the packs up inside, while the driver stood inside the vehicle, passing the packs down when required. The usual delivery is to drop the pallet off the tail lift in the road and run it into the garage on the pallet truck. There is no way that a vehicle should be despatched with palletised goods to residential addresses, or in fact to any customer with a broken pallet truck, this merely reflects the standard of service that the haulier has to offer and their failure to consider both the consignor and the consignee's contractual expectations. I had to tick 1 star rating as the review would not allow none to be ticked, as was my intention. I must reiterate that this review is in no way an opinion on calido as a business or it's impeccably courteous staff - merely the delivery.

Hi John, I'm sorry to read about this experience you had with Palletline. Following the review I raised this issue and the delivering depot have apologised for the problems they encountered with your delivery. We have made many successful deliveries to you and I rust the next one will be back to the normal standard you expect. In the unlikely event that the issue happens again can we suggest that you send the driver away, give us a call and we can reorganise the delivery for another date when all their equipment is fully operational! Thanks, John Calido

11th year of these brilliant logs. Burn like coal. One 96 pack keeps our kitchen woodburner going all winter. Photo shows easy stacking by kitchen door, and device for halving logs: just drop a pack on the iron bar before opening into log basket. Life transforming!

Calido Fire Log Briquettes burn well and give off a good heat no complaints, but one small gripe- my last pallet had 4 packs with half a log missing, quality control needs a review. See picture above.

Great fuel. I’ve been using them for several years and never had a problem. The briquette are easily broken in two, but only when you want to split them I have had a good few pallet loads and never had a breakage - yet I can split the briquettes in half just by laying the whole pack of six on top of a 15x25 batten and leaning each briquette in turn. Dead simple!! Igniting is easy as well - I’ve used several different firelighters - best for me are the Eco-blaze ones. They always light up first time - just three and you’re away!! It does depend on your stove, though.
