“The crate of logs arrived in the back of a fairly large lorry with a tail-lift and a powered pallet truck. The driver was very amiable and put the crate into my garage for me. The crate itself is stacked choc-a-block with logs (approx. 480 logs +/- 10 as I lost count due to my kids, who were desperate to help put them into the log store). The logs themselves were quite uniform in length but tended to be smaller on average width/depth than the Ash logs I bought from Calido last year. However, I believe that the logs being smaller is the reason why I got approx. 480 logs this year as opposed to about 420 last year. Either way it is a fair old amount of logs you get on a crate with the added bonus, that if you break the crate/pallet down you get a decent amount of free kindling. The logs themselves looked very dry and ready for burning, with no further "seasoning" required. I don't know how well the Birch logs will burn, as I haven't had a fire on as yet. Therefore my review is based purely on the delivery, quantity and the dryness of the logs.”
