“I was very aware before purchasing this steel canteen lid that it was made specifically for one brand. It does sit “comfortably” on most other branded canteen cups but not the snug fit everyone was hoping. Pls note it does the job intended, helps with fast boil or keeping bugs out while cooking rice etc .. It sits perfectly ( doesn’t lock tightly) on my military surplus Netherlands canteen cup. I’m absolutely fine with that. The D ring is excellent quality. The lid overall is excellent quality.”

“Matching lid to fit the canteen stainless steel cook cup also sold here. Great items both to have. Lid allows for faster closed container boil of water in the cup over stove. Closed containers allowing boiling water faster, and too at altitude also faster. NB. No, this is NOT sold as or meant to be a lid for the BCB Crusader metal cup. It will not fit that. As for people saying about limited use of this for doing boil in the bags, being impossible to use lid, you can do your boil in the bags in your mess tins more easily.”
