“Very pleased with decision to buy a battery powered mower. The Stihl RMA448 VC is producing a good finish, and is more than low enough for my needs. Nice to have variable speed, and option to use as a push mover. Mid-season, so I haven't tried it on long grass. Good capacity grass box. There doesn't seem to be a mulcning kit for this model, which is a bit frustrating. I have several lawns which represent about 600 sq.yds. total. I have 2 x AP200 batteries and use each one down to about two bars, for a complete cut. Personally, I think this is more economic than a single high capacity battery, and it works.for me. After unboxing, the handle has to be attached using a metal pin, as supplied. It is supposed to be a push fit, but I found it was a very tight interference fit. Had to use a hammer and a block of wood to fit the pin. Stihl should consider fitting at source. Overall very happy with the mower, and nicer to use than petrol powered.”
