The STIHL SH 56 is perfect for occasional users. This handheld shredder vacuum / blower has a specialised shredder blade on the fan wheel which reduces garden waste. It also converts easily into a handheld petrol leaf blower. Fitted with a semi-automatic choke and stop switch for smooth starts, this blower automatically resets to the starting position to help prevent accidental flooding.

“I have had several of these machines, mostly for leaf sucking on quite large areas of gravel. The suction is good, if there are blockages they are easy to clear, and the shredding reduces the leafs so you get a large volume in the collection bag. Only drawback is the pull cord is not robust enough and, after numerous pull starts over a long autumn/winter, the cord can snap and putting a replacement on is a bit of a pain.”

“Moved house recently and realised we still required a leaf vacuum having sold our old one. Decided to stay with Stihl although smaller version, very happy with it (as expected). Definitely recommend.”

“Happy with purchase at a great price. Blower is really powerful. Collector is good but only for small volume of leaves , if you try to suck up too many leaves at one time the tube to the bag can block.”
