This is my 2nd cs2511tes I liked the first one so much I decided to get another one. The original one was the tes with the 3/8 chain I found that a bit grabby and whilst a good cutter it felt a bit rough so following all the advice I swapped over to a sugihara 1/4 which was a great set up. When looking for my new saw Buxtons had a really good deal on the tesc which comes as standard with the 1/4 so it was a no brainer. Always looking for something newer and possibly better I’ve also picked up a new Oregon nano bar and chain set for it so I haven’t actually used the echo 1/4 set up yet. The Oregon one is really good though, smooth and fast cutting and a good oiler I think this might be my set up of choice for a while. Saw wise I used a ms 201 as my climbing saw, it’s great does everything I asked of it but as a bit of an oldie I’m getting more aches so moved to the 2511 which has been a genuine game changer for me. It’s genuinely light I run mine with a 10” bar and absolutely love it for my inital climb, it clears out most of what needs to go when dismantling then swap out to something bigger for the main stem or proper limbs. If you’re pruning a tree it’s ideal with its physically small size, light weight and good clean cuts it’s a breeze to move through the canopy with it. It’s got easy access to all the serviceable items and even the adjustable oiler it right on the top of the saw and just needs a flat screwdriver. I can’t say anything bad about this saw.
