“Had some old pallets sawn up for kindling and a lot of splitting needed and knew from my childhood chores a billhook was the better tool to do this. The Spear & Jackson billhook has a good weight to it and blade goes full length of handle and finished with a tang washer. The blade edge is well ground but sharpness can be improved and found that it's made from a hard steel, impressed with the quality. Pallets all now sliced using back edge and today it made the job of removing some shrub roots easy using the Hook edge to slice apart the tangled roots.”
