“Great quality sappie. Never used one before but excellent for lifting rounds onto splitter. Just be careful. I would always use it to the side, never towards you like an axe! (It slipped off the round, the head fell in front, the round rolled it into leg) I’m fine/just be careful Great bit of kit. Saves the back a lot.”

“This is a great tool. I use a pair of them at work for dragging logs, branches and brush without the need to constantly be bending over. As with timber tongs, which I use for shifting rounds and logs as well, I can move far more and with less effort. The Sappies are particularly useful for dragging heavier timber without the need to be lifting as much as tongs. A great traditional forestry tool.”
