For use with climbing rope to allow easy retreival of the cambium saver or friction device.
To select the correct size end toggle, the ball on the toggle needs be able to pass through the larger ring of the cambium saver but not the smaller ring. The ball gets stuck during the retrieval process pulling the cambium saver down with it.
