I preferred the old formula. I find this to be a little too thin. Very good but not excellent.

I used to love the old formula for Bravura London's hyaluronic acid serum. When they said they were changing and improving the formula I was curious as to what it would be like. The new formula is a lot runnier and thinner which doesn't bother me. However, I find that it makes my skin go red (like a mild sunburn) and get slightly irritated if I use it with anything other than a mild cleanser and moisturizer (e.g. the first cleanse oil and collagen moisturizer). (The redness usually disappears after about 20 minutes.) I never had this problem with the old formula; I don't know if the liquorice extract is what is causing this reaction. I have not tried it with any of the chemical exfoliators because it makes my skin red even after using it with the ginseng toner (which has glycolic acid), so I can only assume that it will do the same after using any of the chemical exfoliators as they are stronger. It means I can't layer it with any other products either, e.g. in the morning I like to use hyaluronic acid serum and then a vitamin C serum, but I can't use this serum in conjunction with my usual vitamin C serum as my face goes red. I've had to go back to using a different brand's hyaluronic acid serum in the morning so I can layer it with vitamin C. Unfortunately, I can't say I will be buying this again, which is a shame because I really liked the old formula and was excited to try the new one.
