“This was our first experience of a 'beach club' type holiday and we absolutely loved it! The setting is beautiful with a very relaxed feel. The family who run the hotel were the most warm, friendly people you could wish to meet and we had some yummy food over the week. The Beyond Beach staff running such a wide variety of activities were great fun and very confident on the water with great patience for teaching us new skills - between us we have learnt sailing, windsurfing and winging, as well as beach walks, bike rides and daily yoga with the lovely Nell (SUP yoga was a particular favourite). Activities for the kids and teens went down really well and were a great way of meeting others without any sense of it being 'forced fun' - very sociable for us adults too - met some great people. We have never returned to a holiday destination before but having found Beyond Beach, we just might!”

“We felt truly spoiled for a week. The endless offer of sailing activities, yoga and fitness. The super enthusiastic and friendly staff, the personal attention, the good food. We are a family with kids between 8 and 17 and everyone loved it. I also brought my parents (age 75 and 80) who loved it as well!”

“The booking and payment arrangements were simple, and pre-travel communications were clear. The arrival and check-in were smooth. Villa Euphoria (Lixouri, Kefalonia) was finished to a very high standard and the equipment was good. The instructor team, led by Hugo was knowledgeable, enthusiastic and patient with beginners. They were also open to feedback. One of the best family holidays we have had. We would choose Beyond Beach again.”

“Such a great family holiday! Amazing friendly team and excellent food cooked by the dedicated family who own the hotel. The beach is pretty much private and the beach bar adds a great vibe at the end of the day. Lots of water based activities on offer and a really good choice of land based stuff too - really enjoyed the yoga! A brilliant holiday for an active family with teenagers. We’ve been three times now and are already discussing next year……it really delivers on every level for us and thank you so much for another wonderful time.”

“We're a school group, who've been running a watersports trip to the Lixouri Bay resort for the past three years, as it is such a perfect place for our kids to learn to sail, windsurf and wing! We take the whole hotel for a week in early July, with 40 or so boys from an independent school, and we have always had a brilliant time - the Lazaratos family have such a great hotel, that they run with warmth, care and genuine hospitality. Hugo, Nell and the Beyond Beach team are just excellent, making every moment of the trip action-packed for our boys, so that many of them come back in subsequent years! This place is an absolute gem, and I can't believe that the sailing area and conditions are not being used by anyone else, as we literally have the entire area to ourselves to play in, it's amazing!”

“This was our 3rd trip to Lixouri Bay and it gets better every year - we go with friends we met on our first trip where our kids hit it off on day 1 before the safety briefing! The familiarity is part of the appeal plus the knowledge of guaranteed fun. The Beach Team were fantastic as always & great to see familiar faces again - big thanks to Dexter for his patience in helping this middle-aged lady pass her windsurfing RYA level 1 (& it was really windy!). The smaller number of guests make it much easier for the team to spend time with guests, offering assistance in addition to the lessons. They learn your names quickly so the whole thing feels like a much more personal experience. The Lazaratos family are so welcoming and the hotel always feels like home from home, they are a massive part of the holiday and part of the reason we keep going back. The food is good old home-cooked and lunch at the pool bar is excellent. The whole package is such great value for money in terms of what you get on the beach, in the hotel and the overall enjoyment factor. Beach Bites night just brings the whole week together with the guests, beach team & Lazaratos family all having fun together over good food, drinks & dancing! This really is a fantastic holiday and if you go with the expectation you’ll hang out with other guests & know your kids are with their new friends in a super safe environment you can’t go wrong!”

“Very personable small travel company, great watersports and yoga offering on the beach a stones throw from the hotel and the in house family run hotel is excellent too. Wonderful well priced restaurant and incredibly friendly staff. Highly recommend:)”

“Beyond Beach we’re absolutely fantastic. I went to windsurf,and the team were the very best of the best.They encouraged,me and gave me tips and the safety boats out all the time gave me the confidence to push myself . Would I recommend them again?.You bet I would. Thank you all.”
