Terras Gauda O Rosal 2025, Albariño, Caíño and Loureiro Blend, Spanish and Portuguese Influences Reviews

Read Basco Fine Foods Reviews

Terras Gauda O Rosal is an artful blend of Albariño, Caíño and Loureiro grapes from Spain's O Rosal Valley. This wine takes influence from both sides of the valley, combining the fruity and floral notes of a Spanish Albariño with the laser-like acidity and herby character of a Portuguese Vinho Verde. The taste is reminiscent of summer holidays, with notes of lemon curd, lime zest, pink grapefruit juice, crunchy peach, Granny Smith apple, mandarin peel, orange blossom, jasmine, passionfruit, kiwi, bay leaf, and dried mint. A hint of salinity adds depth to the flavor. This wine pairs well with seafood, such as oysters, shrimp, crab, white anchovies, or barbequed sardines, as well as creamy dishes or something with a kick of chilli.

“This fresh wine brings the galician white experience to the next level, with it's balanced grape blend as the loureiro grape (means bay leaf in galician) is very aromatic and caiño branco adds deeper and stronger flavour notes to the well loved fresh citrus and slightly bitter alvariño grape, the main ingredient.”

“A truly super example of how a top end Albariño should taste. Highly recommended for those that want something that punches above its price.”

“This is still a great wine from Galicia where I am from. Excellent to find it here in the UK. Have it with fish and seafood.”
