Queen of Truffles Whole Black Truffle Jar Product Description: A truffle's quality mainly depends on product freshness, from the harvest to the table. It undergoes an exhaustive cleaning and a manual selection process according to its colour, aroma, maturity grade and size before vacuum-packing in order to keep its fragrance and unparralled flavour. Our preserved whole truffles only have salt and water added before the sterilization process. Through this process, the truffle loses around 10%-30% of its weight; however it gives out a unique truffle juice. Truffle juice has countless utilities in high gastronomy, but it is not very well-known yet. Food Pairing: Our Whole Black Truffle Jar comes ready to use. Simply slice thinly into pasta, risotto or your favourite salad dishes. Grate on meat fillings, sauces of all types or simply served with scrambled eggs for a luxurious breakfast. PLEASE NOTE: The net weight of this product is 20g, the drained weight is 10g

“I have not tried the truffle as Yet , but was disgusted in the packaging it arrived in a huge box for such a small item thus is unexceptionable. If you do this to charge the over priced p&p this is also unexceptionable. Fir this reason I will not shop from you again”

Hi Eunice, I am sorry you had a problem with our packaging. We try to send the product in the appropriate sized packaging but sometimes, when there is pressure in the warehouse, we run out of the required packaging and have to use a larger box. We try to avoid this because it increases our costs, if we use a larger box we do not pass this cost on to to customer. P&P tariff is linked to the cost charged by our courier. We don't over inflate this because we wish to remain competitive, however, we are a small but growing company and so are unable to drive down courier rates in the way that some of the larger operators are able to do. The cost of packaging is only a small portion of our postage charge, the bulk of the cost is passed over to the courier. We are very conscious of of the environmental impact of our business and are constantly reviewing our operations and packaging options to reduce our footprint. All our cardboard packaging is recycled and much of our packaging is recyclable.

“Would love to write a good review but I would be lying these truffles are bland lacking in a aroma and flavour. Only given one star for texture. Otherwise it would be 0 star which is not an selective option.”

“Good value for the price. Not mind blowing truffles....but I served them sliced into fluffy Japanese rice after having marinated them in truffle infused oil for a couple of days. This helped give the illusion that they were far more aromatic and truffly than they actually are! All in all good value for money though! And a VERY fast delivery time! :-)”
