A cult gin from Mahon in Menorca, Xoriguer is one of the only gins in the world, alongside Plymouth, to hold a geographical indication, Gin de Menorca. This gin, pronounced sho-ri-gair, was first created for British sailors stationed on the island between 1708 and 1802. Xoriguer is still made using traditional copper stills and high-quality wine alcohol (eau-de-vie), along with carefully selected juniper berries from nearby Mediterranean mountains and aromatic herbs. The herbs, a guarded secret of Xoriguer gin's original bouquet, are added at the start of each distillation process. The respect for tradition is such that the fuel still used today in the distillery remains unchanged.

“I Like a variety of Gins and although no authority on the subject it was a recent TV Programme with the Hairy Bikers that reminded me I had sampled and enjoyed this previously. Like so many Gins the flavours with this stand alone and will certainly appeal to many as a change or variety in the drinks cabinet. A distinctive flavour but like all gins it really chan be changed by your choice of tonic.”

“I was introduced to this lovely Gin by my mother-in-law, it is one of my favourites. She is sadly no longer with us, I found it on this site and ordered 2 bottles as I didn't think I would be able to get it again. Wonderful business to deal with, great service.”

“Xoriguer gin has a unique taste, it’s an extremely aromatic and intriguing flavour. A distinct juniper, but a touch of other herbs too. There’s an almost “Ouzo-esque” hint, but don’t let that put you off if you don’t like Ouzo, because I don’t, but I LOVE this gin! Try it neat with lots and lots of ice, or make a Pomada, by diluting it 50/50 with lemon Fanta with lots of ice.”
