Read Basco Fine Foods Reviews

Pacharan Azanza is a delightful sloe-flavoured liqueur, hailing from the Basque Country and other regions in Spain. Its name derives from the Basque words paitar or pattar, meaning liqueur, and aran, signifying sloe. This traditional beverage is created through a maceration of sloes, the fruit of the blackthorn, with anisette, an aniseed-flavoured liqueur. The result is a warming and refreshing liqueur with a pronounced aniseed taste. Bodegas Pacharan Azanza, established since 1810, is a small, family-owned company renowned for producing some of the finest pacharan. Their product holds an I.G.P. designation, ensuring its authenticity and traditional production methods. Serve Pacharan Azanza chilled or on ice as a digestif, or incorporate it into a cocktail with white or sparkling wine. It can also be drizzled over fresh berry fruits and vanilla ice cream for a delectable dessert. This product contains 70cl and has an alcohol by volume (ABV) of 25%.

Lovely aperitif, flavoured with sloes. Fantastic over ice. This is one of my favourite summer drinks, and pretty much impossible to get hold of in the UK. This is made by a smaller artisan company and tastes fantastic.

This is a tricky drink to source in the UK so thank you BASCO...it’s warming in the winter and refreshing with ice in the summer by itself. We halved some peaches and put them in an oven dish, drizzled over some runny honey and a splash of Patxaran. Served with a tad more...delicious!

So many levels of flavour! Delicious with ice as an aperitif, used with honey as a glaze for oven roasted peaches, a glass with cheese or coffee...so versatile and so delicious.

If you already know patxaran, you will love this as it meets all the expectations you might have. If you have never tried patxaran before, give it a try. It is different from most liqueurs known in UK. Serve with plenty of ice and enjoy the richness of the sloes.

Wonderful shopping experience. I found something that it was impossible to find in high street shops and it was cheaper than ordering from Spain. Great delivery service, fast, and neat packaging.

I have to confess to being a big patxaran fan. I had never seen this one before and - though a litle more expensive than usual - took a punt. It is a great drink, a little less sweet and cloying and with a more pronounced flavour of sloes than some more commonly available brands. And it even has a handful of sloes in the bottle. Highly recommended.
