When it comes to roast whole suckling pig, there is no finer meat in the world than the traditional Spanish Cochinillo. The soft and tender meat literally melts in the mouth whilst the crispy crackling will delight the senses with every forkful of this incredible delicacy. Unlike many of the commercially reared animals that you will find elsewhere, our whole suckling pigs are always kept with their mothers up to a maximum of 21 days. This is the only farming method that stays true to the traditional practices from which the name suckling pig was derived. Keeping things natural also delivers meat with the finest flavour and texture. Each one will arrive at your door ready to roast in the oven, allowing you to relax and look forward to the feast ahead. “The pig arrived exactly when I requested it to arrive and was really well packed. The instructions on the website as to how to cook it were spot, I was a little nervous but following the directions meant it was cooked to perfection. “The best Christmas roast ever, so easy and so delicious even cold the next day which is quite unusual for pork. Eaten suckling pig many times in restaurants in Spain but first time cooking at home was just as good if not better! Can’t wait for an excuse to have another one.”

“Our suckling pig was absolutely fantastic. The thinnest, crispiest crackling covering unbelievably succulent tender flesh. We enjoyed every bit from nose to tail with special mention going to the cheeks :) It arrived bang on time, packed very well, on ice, in perfect condition. The best suckling pig we've ever had. Will definitely order from Basco again.”
