“The piglet was delicious but it was below the 5.5Kg advertised weight. I was told that this was the heaviest one and so it must follow that they did not have any at the advertised 5.5Kg. Basco offered a refund, but it was too late for me to place an alternative order with someone else. However, as stated, the piglet was delicious.”

“Delivered as promised next day with lots of notice from DPD. What can I say, worth every penny. The pigs are stamped with a an ‘Espana’ export stamp proving authenticity. Vac packed to maintain quality. Roasted for 4 hours low, then wrapped in parchment to avoid sticking to the skin, 45 mins on ver high made the perfect filo pastry thin crackled skin. The meat is sweet and succulent and not like any other joint as you get the best of all of them !!”

“Delivered when stated, well packaged. This is for Christmas dinner so obviously not tried it yet, but it looks and sounds to be exactly what we want. We are pleased that it turned up so quickly and not nearer the day and worry about if it will be delivered on time. Would recommend Basco Fine Food to anyone and will use them again.”

“First time cooking and eating suckling pig and turned out extremely well for a family get together. Arrived deep frozen in a thick polystyrene cool box with freezer bags and allowed to defrost over two days before cooking. Just over 2hrs to cook at 180 rising to 200/220 for last half hour and turned out perfectly . Delicious”
