Read Basco Fine Foods Reviews

Our Mini Cooking Chorizo is made specifically for us in La Rioja by a chorizo producer with over a century of experience. These bite-sized sausages are semi-cured for just four days, resulting in a softer sausage that retains moisture while becoming crispy - ideal for cooking. The secret to our Mini Cooking Chorizo's signature taste lies in the perfect amount of premium quality Spanish paprika we use. Each 1kg packet comes with a three-month shelf life. Our versatile ingredient is perfect for various cooking methods. Riojan Chorizo, a variety of chorizo produced in La Rioja, is known for its strong color, soft texture, and spicy, aromatic taste. Originally produced in the mountain valleys of La Rioja due to the ideal climate conditions for curing chorizo sausages, Riojan Chorizo has held the I.G.P. accreditation since 1990 to protect its authenticity.

First had these in our local restaurant in Anglesey and asked the chef “Fantastic flavour. Where can I buy these..?”. And it turned out to be Basco. Very rich, full of flavour, and great cooked in a robust Spanish red wine. You could just go on eating them....

Very nice, subtle spicing. I followed the recipe idea, sauteing them for a few minutes before simmering in liquid (I used white wine rather than cider). I cut them in half to serve as tapas and they were very well received. Next time I may try them as an addition to a main dish or paella.

Delicious, nice texture, firm enough to add to stews and casseroles. I halved mine and sahhlow fried them, then simmered in red wine and honey.
