4.9 Rating 126 Reviews
Read Basco Fine Foods Reviews

Er Boqueron is a Spanish artisan beer, crafted using natural ingredients and Mediterranean Sea water from a region near Valencia, known for its purity. The brewing process does not involve added gas, filtration, or pasteurization, resulting in a light, refreshing, and easy-to-drink beer. The aroma offers an initial impression of malt and freshly baked biscuits, with toasty notes and a hint of peach and pear. On the palate, enjoy the incredible freshness of fruit and bubbles, followed by a subtle back note of iodine and balsamic, concluding with a sweet finish of peaches.

Tasted this beer once and loved it and this is the only UK stockist I could find. Good price, fast delivery and delicious beer for a warm summer’s day - even if only in your own house.

Very good, very tasty, a crispy, truly refreshing larger, not overpowering but bodied enough to enjoy great beer.

I have tried El Boquerón before and was eager to pass some on to my nephew, who is very keen on craft beers and assists at his local beer festival, he liked it very much and will recommend they try it next year.

This was bought for my husband, the first time he has tried it. He really likes the taste and found the flavour smoother than other beers and not as gasey. A very nice beer.

It's a paradox that self isolating for three months - with our own stretch of coast a short but uphill walk away- has brought Spain's bracing sea breezes to our doorstep thanks to Basco. Real joy of discovery with this company - superb seafood, wonderful wines, intriguing tapas ... and bizarre beer. You can taste and smell the sea in this truly evocative brew - and it dances like sunshine on your palate. No, I wouldn't a beer out of my sea - the Irish Sea but there's no way you'd get a decent Guinness out of it - but suspend belief for this one. It's delicious. And moreish...
