“Richard billed this as a return to the "Observer Books" of our childhood - I loved those and got to say I'm really chuffed with Early Season River Fishing as a book. Loads of useful info especially on the entomology side which is why I'd give it 5 stars not problem. Would have loved a little more on 'rivercraft' and yet to see how the binding holds up but it seems solid. Photos are great, would be nice to have an idea where they were taken? Good value book I can see me taking out to while away a tea break on stream, or just dipping into our of season to get a "fix". Happy customer of Barbless Flies!”

“Excellent pocket book for early season river fishing for trout. Entomology section, with great photos of what the trout could be feeding on. Flies to use for imitating the nymphs/larva/adults, with a section on tactics and leader setup. Can't wait for the next installment.”
