“An interesting little book with a simple introduction to fly life early season plus leader setup etc. My only gripe is that the binding is very tight so there is a danger that the spine will split if you try to force it open. This can easily be solved for future editions or titles by leaving a bit more of a gutter to account for the binding.”

“Hi I have been a supporter and purchased many products from Barbless Flies since their conception. The products and service they provide are second to none. (That’s not to say you can’t get equally good service and products from other dealers) But, I have no complaints whatsoever and what I like is that Barbless Flies provide education and detailed advice on aspects of all fly fishing for free! The book is a little bedside gem and also you can pop it in the fishing bag for reference on the Bankside.”

“Useful little pocket-sized primer focusing on flies, leaders, other equipment and general rivercraft for early season fishing. Probably best for relatively inexperienced anglers, though it’s also useful for others as a reminder and reinforce ment of good practice. Be interesting to see the other books in the series.”
