“So I treated myself to one of these DT5 Bi-Colour (27 yds) silk lines to match up with a classic Hardy reel I have, and a thing of beauty it is too. I finally got the opportunity to christen it last week and it delivered the experience I was looking for in spades. The more I used it the better it got, and after a few hours when it starts to sink, the double taper means it can simply be detached from the backing using the loop connector and reversed. Anybody who looks after their fly lines won't find it any more hassle to maintain that modern synthetic lines, and doing so should mean they last a great deal longer. Honestly fishing with this silk line I couldn't stop smiling as it really does have great personality, and I can't wait to get back on the water with it again and see how it develops. The only thing I need to do now is relieve my old man of one of his spilt-cane rods to use it with in order to complete the experience!”

“Bought an Ian Moxon DT4# silk line. Arrived swiftly and packaged in a nice presentation box with cloth, mucilin and care instructions. Looks really good quality but unable give full five stars as I can’t test at the moment, need to complete my split cane rod. Will write a follow up review once I’ve used it, hopefully soon.”
