“Wow! the Ankarsrum is a fantastic mixer! I’ve been using this for more than two months and made numerous panettones, baguettes, malt loafs, sourdoughs and Hokkaido bread. No more holding on to a stand mixer when mixing doughs. My previous new 1.7kw stand mixer had difficulties mixing 600g of dough but fab for cakes. Wished I did my research before buying it. The Ankarsrum is easy to operate and I would not hesitate recommending this to home bakers. Very happy with it and the Ankarsrum will apparently handle 5kg of dough! I have not tested this claim. Long seven year motor warranty and lots of accessories to match any stand mixer. Clever design - the powerful motor is at the base of the mixer with 12minute timer and stepless speed regulator. It can handle stiff and high hydration doughs, not at all noisy and no need to scrape down as it has a removable dough scraper to do this while it mixes.
