“This brush does an excellent job in removing old flour particles from the grooves of bannetons due to its stiff bristles and curved stock, leaving the basket clean and hygienic.”
“I wanted to edit/amend my prior review which was critical of the lack of Customer Service but there doesn't appear to be a way to do that. So I will use a second review to say that my posting the first review here caused a reply from Customer Service. I wrote them with details on how I felt that a defective Jiffy Green mailer was responsible for my loss. BakeryBits very generously resent my order out today and with any luck I should have it next week.
Let me add here that this is a terrific brush for cleaning bannetons. This one will be a spare for me in the event my first one wears out. I also use my brush for cleaning excess flour off my loaves after they come out of the oven.
I wonder why the review system BakeryBits uses is set up for Initial Upper Case. It sure makes reading comments somewhat annoying. Maybe someone can change the setting in their software.”
“I placed an order for a second Proving Basket Cleaning Brush and a Flexible Dough Scraper. GBP 9.67 plus GBP7.80 for Royal Mail. I received the padded mailing envelope and it was unsealed at the flap. Upon closer inspection it looked like the envelope was defective in that only half the self-sealing strip was actually sticky. I emailed support@bakerybits.co.uk and heard nothing. After 24 hours I re-sent my original email. No reply. A day later I received an email from them asking me to review my undelivered Proving Basket Cleaning Brush.
I have lost all faith in BakeryBits. Customer Service is nonexistent.
WeekendBakery is a much better source.”
