“I agonised over a new bread knife for ages. I have had a few over the years that just don't cut. This one I selected because it is longer than most so I can cut a large round sourdough loaf more easily.
I'm very pleased with the knife. It is comfortable to hold and really just dropped through the bread with ease. There was no pulling the crumb back-and-forth with this, it just slid through the fresh loaf as if it wasn't trying.”

“I liked my old bread knife. But it wasn't long enough. It was fine at the start of a round loaf, but as I moved in towards the centre it was too short. So I bought this knife. And discovered that as well as being the right length it was brilliantly sharp.
Excellent knife, top quality, long ... and sharp.”
“To cut the crusty round, especially wholemeal breads now widely available you need a good bread knife with at least a 10” blade. My old 7.5” knife had become useless for the job. The small cutting strokes it permitted caused rough cut surfaces and the bread to fall apart especially at the edges. I bought the knife from Bakery Bits because it appeared to do the job, had the necessary slight curve and was reasonably priced. I was astonished to see that you can pay £100 or more for what appeared to be similar items. The knife is wonderful. I get a nice clean smooth cut with no frayed edges. It is also good for cutting other foods like carving meat. I use it all the time now.”
