I wanted to replace my oval woven banneton, which I have been using for many years, as the cane was disintegrating and the linen liner becoming worn. The Brotform I received cannot be termed oval. It is a long oblong with rounded ends so I was somewhat disappointed. I am still using my old oval shaped one. I will use the replacement when my cane one deteriorates further and, after all, it is only the shape of the bread that will have altered.

This was my first wood pulp banneton and I love it. Takes very little flour to stop the dough sticking and leaves a nice clean loaf devoid of flour lines. I was unsure on what size to use but this works well for 600gr flour batards. They get reasonably close to the top with the quite light rise I tend to use so I wouldn't want to go much bigger in it.

Very pleased with these bannetons, you don't need a lot of flour as the bread doesn't stick to them.

Bought these for baking sourdough loaves in, sturdy enough and if you follow the instructions coating with flour lasts as well couldn't be happier.
