I believe in good tools. Read online reviews of most crumpet rings and you'll see lots of rings that aren't any better than an old catfood can. But then there are these.
They're stainless, they're flat, they're round AND they're available in custom sizes. They are completely worth the money. Easy to use, easy to clean. Dab on a little butter inside the ring before using, and remember to refresh it each time and the rings will release cleanly. You may need to loosen it in some spot with a knife blade but not often.
I bought six. Plenty of rings! Probably I could do with four but I wanted the flexibility. I highly recommend these, and the company. Bakery Bits has excellent customer service!”
“These rings are wonderful! Heavy duty construction that holds the heat ( 1cm or 1/8 inch stainless steel ), will not warp due to heat, does not leak a drop of crumpet batter, and will never flake ( like the thin, cheap rings made in China! ). These rings are obviously handmade…my favourite part. It is so enjoyable to find a company that still believes in quality of product and this act puts people to work to get the task accomplished. It is a disappearing trade but the quality is obvious! Machine made is faster and cheaper but that puts out a quickly made inferior product that will not last…period! The price will seem like it is more, but once you purchase these well made rings, you will have them for the rest of your life. That is worth the price alone. They can be used for making English muffins, tarts, biscuits, eggs, etc. So if you want a quality product that is handmade in the UK, then I could not possibly recommend these rings anymore than I have. Treat yourself to handmade, for you are certainly worth that experience. I am exceptionally happy with my purchase, in case you could not tell! I most definitely highly recommend this company and product and commend them for choosing quality over profit…so rare in these times.”

“Really good sturdy crumpet rings, I bought the 10cm ones as that was the smallest size available at the time, they made delicious crumpets using the recipe on the bakery bits website. I found that I only needed to fill the rings by a third to get well risen light and fluffy in the middle and crisp outside crumpets. I will never buy a crumpet again!”
