It is lovely to arrive with a gift, and these are the ideal size for a cake. I customise packet mixes by adding little touches of fresh, dried or crystallised fruit, and 500g packet makes two of these cakes To a Madeira Cake mix, I add a TBS of Candied Citron (http://bakerybits.co.uk/bakery-ingredients/sugar-and-honey/candied-citron.html) and grated rind of a lemon, split between two baskets and bake as instructions. I then make a lemon syrup to drizzle.

I use these on all of my cookery courses as they enable students to take their bread home easily and they look good as well.

Used one for the first time yesterday. I was a little apprehensive about the liner but it worked well and the loaf did not stick at all. I don't use use a banneton so finding a product into which I can put a shaped sourdough loaf and leave it to prove is wonderful. I made a 500g loaf as recommended but I think I may experiment with the size and try a larger one. The baking mould provides excellent support during proving. The result was a very attractive, well presented loaf that I would be happy to give to anyone.
