“I’ve tried several containers for proofing sourdough but this is by far the best. The lining allows one to transfer the dough to the Dutch Oven easily & it has transformed my results. I’ve bought a second one.”

“Good quality, as always from Bakery Bits. Bought because the cane baskets were O/S. On the negative side the bread is missing the pretty pattern the cane baskets give to the top of the loaf. On the plus the loaf turns out much more easily ( the linen is not fixed to the bottom of the basket) so no more squiffy loaves if your dough is slightly wet or has risen to the top of the basket overnight and caught on the undusted top of the basket as you turn it onto the baking sheet. So I can highly recommend this item.”

“Love baking sourdough and proving it in the basket - only problem is I haven’t yet found a way to keep dough totally from sticking to lining (I like a moist bread), hence only four stars though it may be my inexpertise...”
