“As these spades are for connecting cables to speakers and amplifiers, they are appropriately sized as such in regards to both the spades and the receptacles for the wires. Quality speaker wires are 12 gauge and above, and will fit these spades well. My application involved a set of 20 gauge wires for connecting a REL subwoofer to the amplifier speaker terminals. This relatively small wire required a workaround for these spades, involving the use of a vinyl sleeve (used in shipping the spades) and a loop in the 20 gauge wire. They are now attached to my amplifier speaker terminals. This product is of very high quality. And will work well in conventional and special applications. Highly recommend.”
