“Looks like a well built cable, but used with a Pro-Ject X2
turntable and Rogue RP-5 pre-amp there was too much
hum with the ground wires attached. I have not had time
to try without the ground attached.”
“Hum disappeared. Less sibilance. Very well balanced cable and an improvement over the Cobalt Cable interconnect I was previously using. No other experience to report.”
“Used the stock cable that came with my Pro ject Carbon II turntable. Was told that it was a good cable by the people that sold me the player. I was going to upgrade the cable when I bought the table, as no stock cable has been that great. Used it and every one of my 180g records sounded staticky. I use static brush on all my albums before placing the needle down. Even my older records sounded that way for about half the record. I was about to take the turn table into a service CENTER to have tone arm wiring checked. Then I saw this cable in Audio advisor and decided to give it a go. Worse case, I still need to take into a service center for wiring work. Installed the cable and cued up one of my most staticky LP's. Nothing but rich full sound came out. Even details that were not coming through with the old cablenow did. Glad I decided to take a chance. I have believed that a lot of high end cables are nothing but snake oil, but not in thei case. OH! System is Cambridge Audio Asure 651 receiver with a cambridge audio pre amp.”
