I made several other changes to my system when I installed this sturdy, well-made outlet, so I cannot detail its specific improvements, but it certainly did not get in the way of better soundstaging and dynamics.

I am most pleased with the Pangea Quattro SE. To give it an extra boost, I also purchased a Pangea Premier NEMA 5-20P AC Power Receptacle. With 20 amp and the Quattro I can feed a very consistent electrical supply to my amp and pre-amp. My 4 star comment is more with regard to the lack of high quality surge suppression options to integrate and protect my power supply system. I recommend AA consider a surge protection option that can integrate with the Pangea products. Both the Niagara and Furman options are replacements to the Quattro, not complements. In my research, I discovered a supplier to Furman who helped me find the Panamax suppression and EMI/RFI filter that plugs into the chain of power supply with little space requirements. All in all, I am a fan of Pangea and will be purchasing other Pangea products in the near future. The quality upgrade was immediate with a more rich soundstage and deeper bass. Thanks to AA for carrying this line of fine products.

Just installed this yesterday, and man the results are shocking(no pun intended). The improvement in my stereo is huge! Like a veil has been lifted, I live in an old house and the wiring came over on the Mayflower. As always, AA shipped it quick and they are the best!

If you are an audio fanatic, you might consider this wall outlet upgrade. I have the hospital grade Hubbell PS Audio outlet as well. I could not tell a difference between them but I have not done a thorough A-B test. Nonetheless, the Pangea is very well made and should last a lifetime, and will far outperform a cheap standard wall outlet. It will grip your plug like a champ. I disagree with a negative review I saw, such the the unit's screws are too short. You need to push the wires into the holes in the back-- not wrap them around the screws, except for the ground of course. You might be week advised to install a dedicated 20 amp circuit to this outlet first. Then consider a high quality power conditioner to connect to it.

This outlet is built like a tank and grips my Pangea AC 9SE MkII cable in a death grip. A normal wall outlet would not hold Pangea's biggest power cable very well. As for any sonic improvements, I can't say because I changed out several pieces of electronics gear and my interconnects at the same time. I'm getting amazing results now but narrowing down the effect of each changes would be impossible. I like it, though

When I plugged my bryston bit power conditioner into this and it noticed it widened the stage. It was a bigger change than expected, because, honestly I was just buying it for peace of mind. The improvement in sound was a suprising extra bonus!

I usually don't fall for all that audiophilia mumbo jumbo but this outlet made a real and concrete difference in my system's sound. Not only a much quieter background but also increased dynamics. Worth every penny I paid - and its very well made.
