“I replaced the wooden stands I'd been using for quite a few years. Had gotten used to the sound, tuning my subwoofer for a good match. The speakers are three-way 2-4-8 inch drivers.
I first assembled the Pangeas with the spikes (carpeted floor). Didn't sound right, too strident and bright. Then I removed the spikes and there it was.
The speakers never sounded this good. Open, clear, balanced, all the various instruments/performers much more defined and discernible.
Kind of a "new system" just because of the stands. Recommended.”

“I have a pair of larger bookshelf speakers (SVS Ultra), and I wanted stands that had a larger top plate for better stability. The available 6 x 9â€� top plate was what I needed, so I ordered these along with my pair off LS300s. Other than with extremely fine things (BBs? Water?!?) I would not say these stands have fillable tubes, as there is a welded mounting bracket at both ends of the tube that makes it basically impossible to fill with sand, steel shot, etc.”
