“Might be the best $70 I ever spent in audio. Replaced a handful of dated, decent cables. Til now, I didn't realize how good my Marantz CD6005 was. Surprising tone, detail, imaging with Pangea Premier. And, for years I'd been considering subs for my smallish Wharfedale Dentons. Don't need 'em now. Strong, low, well-defined bass fiddles, etc. Using vintage H.H. Scott 299-B integrated tube amp.”
“Changed out interconnects from DAC to preamp and from preamp to amp and put some audioquest Type 4 speaker cables into the system and I'm very happy with the result. Using a Rotel amp that i had shelved because it always sounded bright but had a lot of power which my speakers need. With the new cables i am really pleased with the result. Much more detailed but less bright and not fatigueing. Have about 15 hours burn in. Would recommend. Was using radio shack gold from back in the day and monster with bananas.”
“What a difference a quality built cable can make! I've been a mild audio enthusiast for about 30 years, and something I learned from a good friend of mine early on was that any system is only as good as its weakest link, and that link is almost always cabling...speaker, interconnect, you name it cables get overlooked a lot. Despite my love of this hobby, my interests have always been curtailed by a fairly restrictive budget, which can make things challenging in the audio arena. Needless to say I do a lot of homework and try to make my purchases count, and that is what brought me to Audio Advisor and Pangea. Out of the three offerings in the RCA interconnect category offered by Pangea, I went with these Premier cables. First impression was great, they come in a box and though they're a pair, the cables are separate...no coaxial or "zip-line" approach here. The threaded head collars were loose on a couple of them (I ordered 4 pair), not a concern as it gave me an excuse to back them all the way off and see a quality heat-shrink treatment sealing the termination at each end. A nice detail is the arrow provided on the collars to show optimal signal flow. The receptacles at each end grip well, as they should. My cables are connecting my Oppo to my old but trusty Yamaha Z9 receiver. After a bit of run-in, I loaded up a movie and sat back to listen to my purchase. Even on my old receiver, the sound was noticeably better. Highs seemed a bit brighter, bass had warmer tonality, and the mid-range seemed to have almost a spacious feel. Nothing seemed too harsh or muddy, and I didn't change a thing but the cables, it was just better sound. There are a lot of placebo products out there, knock-offs and companies claiming to offer high-end results to us bargain hunters. In my opinion, Pangea Audio isn't one of them, these folks are the real deal. The cables I purchased exceeded my expectations and at a price that didn't break my budget. I am quite content with my purchase and will look to them for other products in the future. Thank you Audio Advisor and thank you Pangea Audio, you've earned a loyal customer.”
“Cut to the chase...if you like the sound of Cardas wire, you'll like these, because the sound is pretty much identical to the entry level Cardas stuff. I bought a 5 meter single run of the Premier SE for my right monobloc, and a 1.5 meter single run of the regular Premier for my left monobloc. I can hear NO difference, both are smooth and detailed. The Premier SE is a bit thicker, and the RCA's on it are a bit longer. But the regular Premier is finished to the same high level, and sounds as good. To be honest, I wish they sold 5 meter single runs of the regular Premier, because I think it would have done as well. In short, good enough for your system, no matter if it's entry level or real high end. I like this stuff enough that eventually I'll re-cable my whole system with it, but right now I need to get an AC-9 for my left monobloc first. This stuff is THE bargain in the cable world! At $70.00 for a meter pair, it is unmatched IMHO.”
“Purchased these to connect my Sony 5400 ES SACD player to my KEF LS50 Wireless speakers. These are extremely well-constructed wires with excellent-quality RCA connectors. As an audiophile with over 40 years experience, one thing I have learned is that price has nothing to do with sound quality. These wires produce a warm but detailed sound without costing a small fortune. Highly recommended.”
