“These connectors are a solid piece of copper with gold plating. The pins create a firm connection with my amplifier. The screw set made for an easy connection. Note that the cable end is not large, limiting the size of speaker wire it will accommodate.”
“My speaker wires are AQ type 4 which Audio Advisor finished with soldered Pangea Bananas. Unfortunately, my overly playful grandchildren managed to cause on the banana connections to be come loose. I ordered the Pangea connector, and it same with the appropriate sized, very small, hex wrench for the screws in this connector. I simply replaced the bad banana with this model. I really like the screw in feature that made things very simple and secure. I no longer need to occasionally jiggle the wires to get the one speaker to work. Just plug things in and everything works perfect, and my grandsons have not managed to goof up this connection. Love the kids, but they sometimes make listening a challenge.”

“What I can add to all those accolades is that I used Pangea banana connectors for 16 awg speaker wire. It's not a fancy connector but it's very well constructed and it does its job. Connection is very tight and bare wire is well secured by two set screws with provided hex wrench. Banana itself with a very good spring action is also very tight. Highly recommended.”
“I love these connectors. They are very well made, quite solidly built, and they are very easy to use for making cables. They have a spring action and hold very tight in the amplifier and speaker sockets. I made a pair of 12 gauge copper wire speaker cables and covered the connections with shrink tubing. “I need to twist two lines together for positive and negative cables each. Sorry to say the hole to insert the wire in is to small. The hole needs to be a little larger. Now i have to duplicate this order with another company in Ohio who has a banana connector with a larger insertion hole and i need at least 28 each.”
“I used Furutech crimping sleeves on bundled Rocket 88 and the set screws. I really could not recommend soldering these. If for some reason you must solder I would think you would want to use a 250 watt or greater iron.
I am all about having as little brass as possible in my A/C outlets, power cables connectors, various interconnects and other cables so I generally use Furutech. However, the Pangea bananas are pretty much the only game around at anywhere near this price point and I researched around six or seven different manufacturer's product. I think the next all copper banana out there is around 4 or 5 times the Pangea's price.
Very nice and thick gold plating and the dual set screws are strong. Also, these Pangea bananas have a firm contact pressure with the inside of the binding posts. I now kind of wish I had gone with the Pangea spades on the speaker ends. However, I had already purchased a bunch of Furutech FP-201 spades thinking they would also work on the amp end. They didn't fit into the available space with all the surround wires involved so I had to go with bananas and I am very glad I went with the Pangea.”
“I had been using Audioquest's banana speaker wire plugs but these turned out to be flimsy and the set crews are so small they are ineffective at tightly
gripping my 10 gauge belden speaker wires. I biwire my speakers. One set of wires using Pangea spades. At the time I didn't know that Pangea made banana connectors as well. So I ordered 4 Pangea banana connectors. Major improvement in fit ,finish, and conection to my Parasound A-21 amp.
Much better soundstage integrity.. I also have the Pangea AC 9SE MkII and
the AC 14SE MKII power cables...these are excellent and have greatly benefitted my systems rendering of the soundstage...Thank you Pangea”
