“One of the most prevalent problems in our search for audiophile nirvana is that mess of cables behind the rack or cabinet that inevitably get cozy with the biggest source of EMI-induced noise: Cheap, poorly shielded power cords. Unlike the cables included with every component, Pangea AC-14 Power Cables have prevented all the EMI/RFI garbage found in all power cables from seeping into my interconnect by thoroughly shielding the cable to keep it within the cable where it belongs. If a cheapo electrical current tester picks up EM that easily, you can imagine the havoc a bunch of those poorly insulated power cables are doing to do to the low level signals in your interconnects that inevitably run near your power cords. The difference isn't subtle and it doesn't rely on any cable voodoo nonsense. I have changed out every electrical cable in my system with Pangea AC-14 Power Cables and the result isn't subtle. Just to make sure I wasn't imagining it, I had my rabidly non-audiophile partner listen for a while and then changed the Pangeas out, putting back the original cheap power cables. After less than five minutes of listening I was ordered to "immediately" put the Pangea AC-14 cables back and never, EVER take them out, and then he stood there glowering at me until I finished putting every last AC-14 of them back. Mind you, this is the same guy who makes a show of dramatically rolling his eyes, groaning and shaking his head at me every time I get a new piece of gear. Now on to replacing my old MIT interconnects with triple-shielded Pangea Premier SE RCA and XLR cables. Who ever said silence is golden was on to something, I just never thought it would apply to the biggest, most expensive noise maker in the entire house! “I have a AC-9 SE Mk11 powering my Power Amplifier which made a big differance with it. I purchased the Pangea AC-14 Power cable along with the Audioquest Power Strip(a tremendously igenious product!) in order to power both of my systems with power strips connected to the audioquest Power Strip with the AC-9 IEC Connected to the Audioquest Power Strip. My two systems consist of a seperate Home Theater with it's own sound Base(ZVOX 580) and an audiosystem with six components included,mounted on the Pangea Carbon Fiber Vinyl Vulcan Audio Rack.The Home theater is mounted on a TV Stand. I hear improvements on both systems,and see a differance on my Home Theater. The bass is more defined, tighter,and deeper on both systems! the sound is deeper and wider, and the stereo imaging om my Audio System is more pin point.The picture quality of my TV has more depth and clarity to it.I only paid $35.00 for a One Meter Length power cable and it has made an incredible difference!The person that gave this product must have a major hearing problem. I am 70 years of age and have been an audiophile for many years. I don't know if I have golden ears or not,but I can still hear subtle differances, as well as major ones.
