“The unit arrived and I was out of town a while so some time later I integrated it into my system.
I tested it and it sounded good.
My intent was to use it to go through my several hundred CDs that I have recently consolidated in one place however when I try to play another CD, it does not recognize a CD and I tried to replay the first one and it did not recognize it either has never worked since. out of warranty now so I’m out of luck. Do not recommend this player at all.”
“I returned it and purchased a Musical Hall C-DAC15.3 player. I find the Music Hall sound to be more transparent. I also like having the other d/a converter. I have a Rogue Sphinx Integrated. The Music Hall sends CD and the audio from my new LG OLED TV ( via the optical digital in ) to the Rogue as analog. I am pleased with the exchange.”
“Smooth, warm, effortless sound with no digital brittleness, just as I would expect from an AKM DAC. Loads and reads quickly, with easy-to-use remote. Works equally well as a transport if you have a quality DAC to connect it to. I only use it occasionally as I stream more often than listen to CDs, but for my purposes, I've found it to be an ideal player.”
“I placed my order for MARANTZ CD6007 online in July of 2021. It was backorder item w/expected availability fro 4 to 6 weeks. I got it after 10 month waiting on April 8, 2022. And it was not working unit out of the box: any CD inserted was giving “NO DISKâ€� message. I checked those CD's on my old CD player - they were playing fine. So I took the subway to B&H store to replace it on Sunday, April 10, 2022. No MARANTZ CD6007 was on stock. And since I payed for it with my PAYBOO card, for which the service with Synchrony Bank was canceled by B&H, customer service told me to return w/this heavy unit on the following Monday and wait for back order again. I chose not to continue with the hassle of MARANTZ/B&H and get my money back.
Since PAYBOO card service is canceled, the $599.00 was credited to my AMEX, which I still did not received.”
“I am not impressed at all by the reproduction of high frequencies ( violins, soprano voices and large choruses in large symphonies, e.g. Mahler's symphony #8, the first movement) in comparison to my previous CD player ( which after 15 years “diedâ€�). It is a disappointment.”
