“This stand is simple to assemble, but strong. The idea, of course, is to maximize your subwoofer's performance by getting it off the floor, which is all this device has to do; happily, it does just that, and does it well — for a fair price, no less.”
“Way too small. But the bigger issue is the great difficulty in getting all four sides of the stand to be equal in height.
A real pain in the ass.
Not worth the hassle or the money. Even at a discounted price.”
“I've kept my subs off the floor since gettng them, but the iso-stands, with my Rockwool "beanbags", work better than my other approaches to bass management, best tweak for my rig, lately.”
“Wow, my old but trusty Velodyne DPS never sounded this good! Anti-intuitive science - instead of anchoring the sub (spikes) to the floor to make it sound tight, the reverse holds true. By decoupling my sub and allowing it to move opposite the cone movement it just sounds better. It pressurizes my room in a more natural manner and even though I cross it a a low 60hz, it now is impossible to localize the subsonic sound source. In my experience, the best sub accessory at any price.”
