“This is my third Hana cartridge; I’m working my way up the Hana ladder. The first play was shockingly bad but after only about 30 sides it’s warming up with good base and excellent staging. It’s installed on a Rega Planar 10 - their tone arm has no VTA or Azimuth adjustment yet using what testing parameters I have available, it seems to be very well setup. In short I’m looking forward to many hours of enjoyment with my Hana ML. Perhaps the next step will be the Umami Blue!”
“Wow. Upgraded from the Hana EH, which sounded pretty great (especially for the money), but this MH cartridge is next level. More of everything I want… stereo imaging, soundstage, dynamics, PRAT. I had read reviews suggesting that the Microline stylus, while retrieving more details would actually also provide less noise, even on well-worn vinyl and that has definitely been my experience as well. While great right outta the box, it really opened up after about 15-20 hrs of playtime. I don't have any regrets at the extra cost, best money I've spent for a noticeable improvement . Sometimes more is more!”

“I purchased a Hana M cartridge several years ago for our Tallahassee home. Recently needing to replace a Shelter MC cartridge in the Shure SME tonearm/Thorens turntable located at our North Carolina home, the new Hana M is now in our Tallahassee system with the older Hana ML now mounted on the SME tonearm.
The older Hana M replaced a Hana SL. The SL was quite a nice reproducer, but one of its two channels opened after a year or so of use.
Although the Hana SL was very good, exceeding the performance of a $3,750 that it replaced, the Hana M is noticeably better sounding than the Hana SL.
Vinyl reproduction system consists of a VPI TNT 3.5 turntable/JMW 10" tonearm, Anthem D2v preamp/processor, two McIntosh 611 monoblock amps, and B&W 802D 'speakers. The phono preamp is of my design and construction.”
