“Any piece of furniture that comes with noise isolating spiked feet should come with a set of these included, gratis. As it stands, someone with hard wood floors has to shell out extra just to make a product that shouldn't damage anything out of the box adhere to a very basic requirement of any piece of furniture. Having said that, these are well made and do the job just beautifully.”
“First, my listening space is very live, plaster walls, lots of glass, oak floors. The house is almost a hundred years old. The term hi-fi didn't exist a hundred years ago. At lower volume levels the listening experience is decent, but at higher volume levels the floor resonates and the highs are reflecting in all directions, sounding...miserable.
I installed the Sonic Saucers and put the L-890's on spikes. I can use much higher volume levels now. The bass has much greater definition and balance. The improvement is night vs day, way better.
