“Ordered the oiled wool Beerenburg pullover as a gift - it's not been given yet so I can't comment as to fit but the wool is heavyweight and very good quality. It's a jumper which should last a very long time.”
“I tried my pullover on in 98 degrees heat here in Ca.
It fits perfectly. I love the color and the style. The quality is superb and I’m just delighted with everything about it. Now I cannot wait to travel to much colder climates where this will be my pride and joy to wear and I will safe and cozy from the elements!”
“This is the sort of jumper I have been wanting for many years, but never found until now. It feels so warm, and able to cope with the sort of winds we get here on the Isle of Mull. The thumb holes are a nice touch and help keep the hands warm if necessary. The quality is top notch and I'm delighted with this excellent jumper.”
“Everything I'd hoped for, the warmest jumper I own by far, and I have Norwegian and Arran jumpers, in fact I can only wear it for two months of the year!”
“Nearly a perfect jumper! High quality, proper thick undyed natural Welsh wool which has not had all the lovely water-resistant lanolin washed out. Looks and feels awesome, and I expect it to last many decades. It's expensive, but you'll only have to buy it once, unlike fast fashion junk that you'll have to replace within months. My only reason for giving less than 5 stars is that the sizing, or rather the proportions, could be better. Size L fits fine in most respects, but the thumb holes are a few cm too close to the torso for comfort. I'm 5'10" / 1.78m with a 42" / 106cm chest & 34" / 86cm waist, with a neutral ape index (i.e. my arm span, fingertip-to-fingertip, is exactly the same as my height). In fairness, there is a size chart on Arthur Beale's website, so maybe I should have paid more attention to the bit about sleeve length to the thumb holes - but then size XL would have been baggy on me. I wish the sleeves were a bit longer, but it's still one of the best jumpers I've ever worn.”
