Stansted Airport Long Stay Reviews

4.3 Rating 1,265 Reviews
Competitive price and bus to the airport was great. Had to wait 20 minutes for a bus when we returned which having just waited 1hr 15 at border control was very frustrating although that's not the parking people's fault! Easy to find, great directions and no additional charges made when our return flight was delayed so we got back to the car park about an hour later than we had booked for.

There's bad and the there's this shower. Arrived on time to find the car park hadn't recieved my booking although they did have a copy of my booking? Made no sense then or now but was told that whilst they couldn't issue a ticket I should park in area B and call at the barrier on my return where they'd let me through. Got to area B to find no available spaces so circled for 5 minutes before noticing a car leaving and grabbing the spot. Walked over to the bus stop to find a small A4 sign saying drop offs only so walked to the next stop to find the same. Eventually after a hike overloaded with bags find a pick up stop with a queue around 200 yards long where we waited for 50 minutes with a number of irate and panicking travellers watching 2 out of three buses pass half empty without stopping Arrived back at Stansted tired at around half one in the morning to find a queue of equal distance which was made worse by the fact it merged into the medium stay queue and people not knowing where to go we're forming a separate queue half way along the line. Plenty of irate people and I'm amazed it was only pushing and shoving and cross words. Finally got to the car park and upon calling the gate to escape was told that my booking had arrived but if I wanted them to open the gate I'd have to pay another £30 as my reservation had been sent through a day short. I'd avoid this place like the plague if I were you

I have never had to queue in such a long and disorganised manor ever and then to have a driver that was rude and bad mannered in her attitude saying things like put your luggage on the rack and I’m not stopping so get off at where I do stop !! Surely as a bus driver you would be sensible enough to drop people at their stop that their car was! Isnt that the reason I had to take a photo of my stop??? I as a person with a heart condition did not find her helpful at all

More buses for transfers required, long queues at car park on arrival and also at terminal on return, people queue jumping and general discontentment.

Lack of coaches when I got back meant more than an hour of queuing for a coach. No information from the provider and nobody taking charge of the massive queue of very irate people.

100’s of people queuing at 4am for a the shuttle transfer was not okay. Did not expect to queue for 40 minutes to get onto a bus.

On Departure the buses were quite infrequent, we had to wait 40 mins to board. A lot of buses were passing by as "out of service" and as a result there was a long queue that required at least 2-3 buses to clear.

Always convenient, reasonably priced and well organised from APH’s end. Occasionally transfer buses are crowded but that seems to be the norm at airports.
